Good morning! Did you have a good weekend? Get a lot of stitching done? Well, I had a good weekend, but I didn’t get as much stitching done as I wanted. I did, however, get to go stash shopping! Some friends and I went to Garden Grove and visited Needlepoints Ltd. We had a lot of fun. I bought a new project instead of getting threads that I needed to complete other projects! Oh well! There is always a next time! On to the update –

This was Sleepy Hollow on Friday afternoon. My goal was to finish the moon and –

Happy Dance! I finished the moon! I am going to try and get the top border done this week. Then, I will work on finishing  the horse.

Have a great day everyone!

Wow! The end of September already?! Sorry I didn’t get this posted yesterday. It is very easy for me to become distracted by other things that have to be done. Plus, this heat we are experiencing is yucky! I am so thankful it wasn’t like this all summer. I much prefer cold and rainy weather!

Today is just a quick update on my ABC’s of Fall –

ABC's of Fall by Glendon Place

I am using Silk ‘n Colors Asian Plum for the lettering and I am almost out of it. I am praying that I can find more of it without there being a dye lot issue. I have had problems with dye lots before and I don’t know what I will do if I can’t match it! I makes my stomach hurt to think about! Anyway, I will probably finish the row of acorns below the words I have done and I may have to put it aside until I can find the right shade. Field trip! Of course, with this being the end of the month, the new parts for Peacock Garden and Venice will be out….

Happy stitching!

Happy birthday to my youngest daughter Tessa! She is 14 today! I had a really busy weekend, so don’t expect too much! Here is how Sleepy Hollow looks so far –

but I LOVE his head! This is such a great piece! The colors are amazing! I will say though, that I couldn’t bring myself to stitch the moon with Lemon Lime waterlilies, so I changed it to SNC Lemon Meringue. Just a personal preference thing!

I did squeal over the weekend. Have you SEEN the new PR piece?! She is absolutely stunning! I can’t wait to get my hands on her! I have already pulled the threads and am looking for the perfect piece of fabric now….

Some much stitching and so little time….. I am really loving this ABC’s of Fall. I just love it! All the different fonts, silk threads and quick stitching that just flows….

I have been receiving comments from Cheryl Granda of Glendon Place. I feel SO giddy about it. Is that dumb do you think? Some designers are just like celebrities for me! So, maybe Cheryl might let us know if there are any more ABC’s planned? Hint, hint….

Have a great day everyone!

Happy Monday! I had a good stitching weekend. Saturday was an all day stitch and I actually had some stitching time Friday night too. Here is Sleepy Hollow on Friday before I settled in to stitch –

and here it is after my wonderful weekend of stitching –

Sleepy Hollow by Glendon Place

I really do like this piece! If you haven’t checked out Glendon Place’s website, you should go take a look! I have mentioned the two I am currently working on, but I forgot to mention another one that I will probably work on next year. It is called Pretty Pumpkins and it is beautiful! I have actually seen it stitched and I have been wanting to stitch it for a couple of years now.

Have a great day everyone!

I am soooo tired! This schedule is making me a zombie! I finally got some work done on my ABC’s of Fall so here is the latest picture –

ABC's of Fall by Glendon Place

This piece is such a fun stitch. It goes fairly quickly and it is so nice to see progress each time I work on it. The use of different fonts for each letter is great. I am thinking I should get another skein or two of my Asian Plum for my letters though. I am only at G and I am starting to get a little low on the amount of silk I have left! As you can see, I couldn’t resist putting a length of the outer border in – I am doing rhodes stitches instead of eyelets (I really don’t like to do eyelets!)

I have gotten some work done on Sleepy Hollow too. I love the fall!!

Happy stitching everyone!

I hope everyone had a good weekend! Mine was okay – would have been better without the all day headache yesterday. I did get to do my happy dance yesterday in spite of the headache! Here is Pansy on Friday –

Pansy by Nora Corbett

and here she is all done –

Pansy by Nora Corbett

The lighting is bad, but I couldn’t seem to get a good picture of her (grrr….) I did leave off her wings because I did not care for their design. I also used beads from my stash instead of what she called for. It saved me some money not doing the wings because that is where the treasures were placed. She had put teardrops hanging from the top flower, but I didn’t like that idea and so I left them off too.

Now I think I will be in a Halloween and Fall  mood for a bit and work on Sleepy Hollow and ABC’s of Fall!

Man, I have been so busy the last couple of days I have barely gotten any stitching done. Of course, I did get some other things done that needed doing, so that was good. Sorry I don’t have much to post, maybe tomorrow will have more if I can get some time today to stitch. I pretty much have only gotten my morning hour of stitching yesterday and today. Here is Pansy as of Tuesday morning –

Pansy by Nora Corbett

I decided that I will not be adding her wings. I don’t really like them and she is for me! Here is how she looks as of this morning –

Pansy by Nora Corbett

If I get time today, I hope to finish her (except for the beading!) Then, I can get back to my ABC’s of Fall – yippee!! And then there is Sleepy Hollow and Frosty Knotgarden and Peacock Garden and Venice and and and……

Happy Stitching!!

Well, the long weekend is over. I hope all of you had a good one! I didn’t get to stitch as much as I wanted, but I did get some done. Here is the beginning of the weekend –

Sleepy Hollow

I love this design! It is by Glendon Place (I told you they have great designs!) I got this much done –

Sleepy Hollow

Like I said, I didn’t get as much done as I wanted to, but I did get some stitching time! This is a really fun design. I am enjoying stitching it as much as the ABC’s of Fall.

Fall is here and I am so happy. I love the fall! Check out this month’s warmer –

and the scent is maple butter…mmmm….. I love the smell! Make sure you visit my website if you want a look at the new stuff coming out!

This is one of my current Chatelaine projects –

Frosty Knotgarden

You really can’t see all the sparkles in the picture, but it is just beautiful in person. I am really having a hard time going back to my Peacock Garden and Venice because of this piece. Of course, the other problem with them right now is that I want to get the next parts first. I really don’t like to stitch parts that are done with overdyed threads that are not complete and Martina doesn’t always include the whole section! But, it is not really a problem. I really have enough projects to keep me busy!

I got my Spring Topiary Garden (by Mirabilia) yesterday. I can’t wait to start it either! I am thinking that Summer Sky would be a great fabric for it. I am hoping to get it kitted up this weekend. Todays goal is to get some needles in my Sleepy Hollow so I can get a good picture of it for tomorrow’s blog!

Happy stitching everyone!
